John McAuliffe will be taking part in the Bluedot Festival again this year.
Bluedot is an award-winning festival of discovery at the grounds of a deep space observatory. Set against a backdrop of the iconic Lovell Telescope at Jodrell Bank, Bluedot combines a truly stellar line-up of music with a ground-breaking programme of live science experiments, expert talks and immersive artworks.
John McAuliffe’s poetry includes The Way In (Gallery Books, 2015), joint winner of the 2016 Michael Hartnett Award and Of All Places (Gallery Books, 2011), which was a PBS Recommendation. He has previously collaborated with astronomer John Dyson and has recently finished a translation of Bosnian poet Igor Klikovac, Stockholm Syndrome. He co-directs the University of Manchester’s Centre for New Writing, where he teaches poetry and co-edits The Manchester Review.
