Stewart Parker was born in Belfast in 1941. His plays include Spokesong, Catchpenny Twist, Nightshade and a trilogy of 'history' plays, Northern Star, Heavenly Bodies and Pentecost.

He also wrote plays for radio.

Stewart Parker died in 1988.
