THE PRINCE OF THE QUOTIDIAN

Paul Muldoon resolved, in the New Year, 1992, to write a poem each day. The resulting 'January journal' records, in typically inventive and mellifluous verse, encounters with friends and colleagues.

Sometimes intimate, sometimes socially critical, it shares some reflections, thoughts, ideas, and opinions (on U2, Field Day, and his own exaggerated 'exile') of a major poet.
