Easter.
A seaside town. The Protestant church is closing down, and the
local undertaker is determined to stage a version of A Midsummer
Night's Dream. Around these facts, Jim Nolan builds a moving
and memorable play in which members of a motley cast search for
their private resurrections.
Moonshine was first produced by Waterford's award-winning Red Kettle Theatre
Company before being invited to appear in the Abbey Theatre, Dublin,
and before its successful Irish tour.
'Jim Nolan's sensitive and accurate writing as the characters reach a redemption of spirit confirms Moonshine as a play of haunting and lasting quality.'
