Dennis O'Driscoll, born in County Tipperary in 1954 and the author of five collections of poetry, has regularly contributed criticism to Harvard Review, Poetry Review and The Times Literary Supplement among numerous other publications. His collection, Weather Permitting (Anvil Press, 1999), was a Poetry Book Society Recommendation and his New and Selected Poems (Anvil, 2004) was a special commendation of the PBS. The recipient of a Lannan Literary Award, he works in the Head Office of Irish Customs.
